As the GB men's and ladies team flies out to Pardubice in the Czech Republic over the next couple of days, the Wolves would like to take time to focus in on the eight club members who will be out there to do battle with the Lion crest on their jerseys.
We have two players in the ladies team, Nikki Croxall and Hazel Taylor and they'll be wearing the number 26 and 8 jerseys respectively. Both will be playing in their 2nd world championship. Nikki and Hazel both play in our Direwolves team, with Nikki playing on D and Hazel as a forward.
We have six players in the men's team. All six are from our Werewolves team. On defense we have number 6 Joe Cooke, playing in his first senior worlds after previously playing in the juniors, number 93 Jacob Gaunt who again has seen action in junior worlds, and late call up number 24 Hayden Johnson who makes his first senior appearance since 2011.
Up front we have the BBC line. Number 41 Zack Brown makes the step up from the under 20's, while Reece Bull and Tom 'Bobby' Cole, wearing 94 and 74 respectively, are both making their third appearances at senior worlds.
We wish them all the best of luck over the next week and a half and would like to express how proud we are of them. We'll be helping you follow their progress as the tournaments unfold.
