The Nottingham Wolves would like to thank Lindleys Autocentres for their very kind sponsorship of 4 of our young Wolves players who will be representing Great Britain at the World Championships later this year in the Czech Republic and Canada. Ball Hockey is currently an unfunded sport, meaning players who are selected to play for their country have to shoulder the full cost of participation in international play. Luckily for 4 of our talented young players, Lindleys have stepped up and offered to help out through a sponsorship agreement.
Lindleys are a local company who are well known for supporting local teams and we are over the moon that they have decided to support our local ball hockey players in their participation at the World Championships. Ryan O’Donnell of Lindleys told us “All of the directors are in agreement that this is a great achievement for the junior players and we’d be happy to put our name to this”. They have asked us to provide regular updates of how the boys are getting on whilst they are away in the Czech Republic and Canada.

Involvement in an unfunded sport like ball hockey carries a huge financial burden for players who are selected to play for their country. There are flights, transfers, accommodation, and tournaments fees to be paid, as well as players having to purchase their own equipment and GB kit. In some cases, the costs can be prohibitive. Obviously, it is a great honour for our kids to be selected to represent their country and as parents we do our best to support them. Lindleys’ generous support has helped to make this much more manageable.”
